Bamboo Acoustic Wall Panel

Product Overview
Bamboo Acoustic Wall Panel (also sold as bamboo sound absorbing panel) is a solid bamboo cladding board engineered for acoustic control and interior finish. It is made from 100% solid bamboo, perforated on the face to absorb sound, and finished with a smooth planed surface that carries the bamboo grain across the full panel length.
The panel is produced on a patented continuous lamination line that is not limited by length. Grain runs uninterrupted from end to end, which gives a luxury appearance with far fewer visible seams or joints than conventional slat panels. This matters on long corridor walls, lobby ceilings, and feature walls where repetitive joint lines cheapen the finish.
Three perforation patterns are offered so the acoustic performance and visual density can be matched to the project rather than forcing one option on every room. Panels are stocked in 600 mm, 1200 mm and 2400 mm lengths, all at 600 mm wide and 18 mm thick. Fire retardant and exterior grade treatments are available, so the same panel can be specified indoors and under covered outdoor areas.

Key Advantages
- Continuous Grain, Minimal Joints: The patented non-length-limited lamination system carries the bamboo figure through the full run, reducing visible seams and giving the wall a single-piece look even at 2400 mm.
- Lower Installation Cost: Fewer fixing accessories and less labour are needed compared with assembled slat systems, which cuts site time and hardware expense.
- Three Perforation Choices: WPAVC-1606, WPAVC16 and WPAVC-32 patterns let architects tune the open area and acoustic absorption to the room size and noise source.
- Zero Emission: Formaldehyde and total VOC both test ND, so the panel qualifies for schools, hospitals, hotels and green building certifications without extra paperwork.
- Class A Fire Performance: Rated B-s1, d0 under EN 13501, Class 1 under BS 476-7, Class A under ASTM E84, and tested to 1010 °C for 120 minutes under ASTM E119.
- Interior and Exterior Use: Fire retardant and exterior treatments extend the material to covered terraces, facades and semi-exposed installations.
- Stable Dimensions: Length change of ±0.9 mm/m and thickness change of ±1% keep the panel flat after installation through seasonal humidity swings.
Manufacturing Process
Our bamboo acoustic wall panels are manufactured through a controlled industrial process in five stages:
-
Raw Material Selection: Mature Moso bamboo culms are harvested at optimal density and split into strands. No other wood species are introduced.
-
Strip Planing and Drying: Strands are milled to consistent thickness, kiln dried to 10%–14% moisture content, and inspected for defect before pressing.
-
Continuous Lamination: The patented press bonds strands into a solid block of any required length. There is no length limit inside the press line, so grain stays continuous across a 2400 mm panel without repeated glue joints.
-
Perforation and Dimensioning: The face is CNC machined with the selected slot or round pattern, then the panel is trimmed to 600 mm width and the ordered length.
-
Surface Sealing and Inspection: The face is sanded, sealed, and checked for flatness, perforation consistency, bond strength and moisture before packing.

Primary Applications
- Commercial Lobbies and Corridors: Wall and ceiling surfaces in offices, hotels and public buildings where echo control and a timber finish are both required.

- Hotels, Lounges and Restaurants: Durable enough for high-traffic dining rooms and reception lounges, with a continuous grain that complements modern interiors.

- Gymnasiums and Wellness Facilities: High impact resistance and acoustic dampening for large open spaces, applied seamlessly to both walls and ceilings.

- Home Cinemas, Studios & Living Spaces: Absorbs mid and low-frequency sound, reduces flutter echo, and integrates seamlessly with hidden doors and media units.

- Schools, Libraries and Offices: Zero-emission certification and Class A fire rating meet strict safety standards for educational and commercial interiors.
